Several “General Hospital” characters originated from the Brooklyn, New York neighborhood of Bensonhurst.
They all grew up together, along with Olivia’s cousin, the late Constanza “Connie” Falconeri.
Trevor owned Couture and blackmailed Connie to choose between him and her career or Sonny.
However, when they finally made it to the altar, someone shot Kate.
The two then realized they couldn’t be a couple.
Kate learned that Connie manifested as a way of protecting herself from Sonny’s dangerous lifestyle.
Connie surfaced and recruited mobster Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash) to help break up Sonny and Kate.
After a terrible fight with her cousin Olivia Falconeri, Kate went to a mental institution.
Connie took over and set things up so Sonny would find her in bed with Johnny.
When her therapist tried to help her, Connie attacked him and fled town.
Everyone assumed that meant AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) had killed her, andSonny then killed AJin retaliation.
However, Ava eventually confessed to Sonny that she was the real shooter.
Thankfully, a vision of Connie appeared to Sonny and talked him out of killing Ava.
Sadly, Kate/Connie never found justice.
